Save Mange Dogs From Freezing to Death

Mange disease – APF needs your help to raise £15,000 for hundreds of dogs, over half of whom are disabled and cared for by APF, suffering from severe mange disease causing intolerable pain and discomfort. APF needs your help to provide funding for the medication and warm blankets these dogs desperately need.

Animal Protection Foundation currently homes 1700 rescue dogs. At any point in time, we have more than 200 dogs with severe mange. Mange is a tormenting skin condition for dogs. Dogs keep itching nonstop and lose all their fur. Mange is a very common disease in Egypt and widespread in street dogs.

APF DESPERATELY NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Dogs with mange are the most abused on the Streets, because of the misperception that mange could be transferred to humans only be the dog being around. Dogs with mange on the streets may lose their lives just because they are sick.

Mange treatment takes months until the poor dog makes full recovery:

  1. Being hairless, it is freezing for them in winter because we don’t have enough rooms for all of them. In many instances their temperature drops, and they may die because of cold – not because of the disease.
  2. Mange dogs need a life saving pill called Bravecto. It helps accelerate the recovery and reduces the agonising effect of mange on the dogs which is very expensive in Egypt.
