Adoptions from Romania have been allowed from unregistered premises’ but that is stopping soon.
No authorised status no adoptions.
It has coincided with our fundraising to build a quarantine room which we had estimated to be £5000.
This was so we could reduce the risk of new arrivals getting parvo, especially pups and to have a purpose built room for our local vet to treat them in, both improving quality of life and reducing veterinary fees.
However while this has been inhand the DRVS ( Romania DEFRA) have changed the law for requirements to be met and adoptions can only be from authorised premises. This has doubled our costs as we have to have special drains, building finishes and veterinary quality equipment.
No room, no more adoptions.
The cost has doubled from £5000 which we have raised already to £10000.
