WarPaws' Urgent Fight Against Mange – Help Us Save More Lives

Every Day, More Dogs Need Our Help

In Iraq, Oriana from WarPaws drives past countless dogs in desperate need. Every single day, she sees suffering dogs battling starvation, disease, and neglect. But recently, in an area she doesn’t usually visit, she made a heartbreaking discovery.

Eight more dogs. All suffering from severe mange.

Without hesitation, Oriana stopped to help. Each dog received the urgent treatment they needed, but the reality is, this isn’t an isolated case.

The Worst We’ve Ever Seen

We have never known it to be this bad. Every single street dog WarPaws encounters has mange. It’s relentless, it’s painful, and it’s spreading at an alarming rate.

In just the first two months of 2025, WarPaws has already treated over 300 dogs. Almost all of them will need follow-up treatments in the next two to four weeks to fully recover. And the numbers keep rising.

This Fight is Bigger Than Medicine

Treating mange isn’t just about giving medication. It takes:
✔ Nutritious food to help them heal faster
✔ Ongoing care to monitor their progress
✔ Time and energy from our small but dedicated team

Oriana and the WarPaws rescue workers pour everything into saving these dogs, but we are stretched beyond our limits. Even if we doubled our team, the need would still outweigh our capacity.

We are exhausted. But we won’t stop because every single one of these dogs deserves a chance.

We Can’t Do This Without You

WarPaws relies entirely on donations to keep going. Without support, we can’t continue this lifesaving work.
