At Meadowbank Primary School in Stockport, a remarkable week unfolded in July — a week filled with passion, education, and a deep commitment to a cause close to our hearts: Animal Welfare. With the support of our incredible ambassador, Jack McGann, and the presence of special guests, we embarked on a journey to illuminate the profound significance of animal welfare through education.

RSPCA’s Visit:

The RSPCA (England & Wales) graced us with their expertise and unwavering passion for animal welfare. Their visit brought to life the importance of protecting and caring for these incredible creatures. Their knowledge and dedication left us all inspired and motivated to do our part.

Unlocking Knowledge Through Education:

Education opens the door to a treasure trove of knowledge. It enables us to advocate passionately for animals, understanding their unique needs, and nurturing empathy in young hearts.

The Power of One:

Witnessing our guests’ expertise and unwavering passion for animal welfare was awe-inspiring. It reminded us that each of us has a role to play in making this world a better place for animals.

One of the most touching moments was observing the incredible bond between humans and their visually impaired companions. This heartwarming connection exemplified the transformative power of animals in our lives and why nurturing empathy in young hearts is paramount.

Money Raised:

We would like to thank all the Year 4 students for their entries into the Pet Portrait competition. With its 50 pence entry fee, this initiative raised a remarkable £90! 

The decision to involve the students in creating pet portraits showcased their creativity and clearly ignited a newfound appreciation for the world of animals around them. 

They are all superstars.
